Carowinds!

We won a free night at a hotel in Charlotte recently, so we decided to use that as a chance to visit Carowinds amusement park. Reid is only about 40" tall (maybe a little more) so he pretty much only gets to ride the kiddie rides - and sometimes not even all of those. But Carowinds had a great kids area that we made use of for almost the entire day. What a blast we had!

We also enjoyed the hotel as much as we could - Reid loved the hot tub and was fascinated by the restaurant downstairs, so of course we had a great breakfast there that morning.

One of the absolute favorite things we did during the day was the "foam pit" (I'm not sure what else to call it) in the Halloween area of the amusement park. They had created barrier walls with hay bales and had some sort of machine that produced massive amounts of foam, similar to soap suds but not sticky. Reid played there for easily over half an hour - if we could replicate this at our house we would be the coolest parents EVER.
