Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day fell on a Sunday this year. Ross and I had plans on Friday night but the winter weather that was predicted came in full force so we ended up having some frozen pizza and playing in the very powdery snow. Saturday was much the same. On Sunday morning Ross made us all some Valentine pancakes with strawberries - and then Reid played in the snow some more. By day three the adults were not interested in being out there much anymore. :)

Earlier in the week, though, Reid got to celebrate Valentine's Day with his school friends. They had a special party and exchanged valentines. We prepared for the party by making some special goodies - started out with candy-dipped pretzels but then we got carried away and started dipping whatever we could find! We dipped vanilla wafers, marshmallows, and then made some "trail mix" by drizzling some cereals and treats with the red and white yummy stuff. Then we bagged them all up to share!

And here's the valentine that Reid shared with all his friends this year - is it not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!? (I'll be so sad when he won't let me do the cutesy things anymore...)

Happy Valentine's Day!
